I Just wanted to say a quick thanks for all your messages, George was very lucky, he was a passenger in the car above. Scary stuff, hey? Maybe it was a good thing I wasn't allowed to the scene of the accident. It even made it into the newspaper last night.
He's feeling much better than he did at the weekend. has learnt that crutches make good cattle prodders to annoy your mum when she's faffing over you too much and you want her to go away... He says thanks to you too, only in a teenager mumbley sort of thankyou way,you know, like they do.

Oh my Sairer, thankgoodness he is ok especially looking at the state of car, someone was definatly looking out for him!! Give him a big hug from me!! I'm sure even if George lets on to you that you are faffing too much I imagine he loves it really!
ReplyDeleteTake care all of you.....Claire xx
First time reading your blog, but I just wanted to add my best wishes to your son and a warm hug to you, my youngest is 18 and it fills me with terror to think this could happen to him, or indeed my other two, no parent should have to endure that anguish or your poor son the pain.
ReplyDeleteHope this will all be behind you soon xx
It's wonder no one was injured more seriously. I'm so glad he's alright.
ReplyDeleteo goodness, just read your posts about the accident... best wishes to your son, glad he is ok. It is so scary, and always puts things in perspective.
ReplyDeletetake care, and fuss as much as you like! they really do love it! :)

Gosh Sairer, your earlier description was bad enough but to see the car............ Hope he continues to make a speedy delivery and if he gets too lippy - hide the crutches!! Take care. Carmen.x
ReplyDeleteOh wow! He's so lucky! Glad to hear he's feeling better!
ReplyDeleteGlad he's feeling a bit better - I'm sure he loves being fussed over really - a boy definitely needs his Mum at a time like this!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling Ok too, Sairer - I'm glad you decided to post about this, even though it's so stressful. If it makes one more parent remind their kids to put their seat belt on - then it's worth it.
Take care,
Willow xxx
So glad he's feeling better. Looking at the car they were all very lucky.
ReplyDeleteIt makes every day so important when you suddenly realise how quickly things can change.
Take care and enjoy your day.

Hi Sairer,
ReplyDeleteJust read your previous post - crikey, what a lucky escape they all had. I'm so relieved he is okay - I'm sure he's really enjoying all the pampering you're giving him! It must have been such a shock for you - and still is. Make sure you all take time out for a bit of pampering and 'me' time - after a scare like that it makes you realise what is really precious.
Clare xx
Thanks so much for the update - you've been on my mind. The photo is shocking, but it's really good to hear that he's making good progress.
ReplyDeleteFlippin heck now that's what I do call scary (and a right off). glad to here that George is recovery well.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Sairer, thank God he is okay! My thoughts are with you. Jeez, it kind of makes so many other things irrelevant, doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteGlad he's on the mend, he was a lucky boy and I'm sure he appreciates what a fab mum he's got.
Julia xx

ReplyDeleteI've just read your post about the accident... catching up with some of my favourite blogs today, and I'm so shocked to hear about it. I can't imagine what you've been through, and I'm glad to hear he's been so fortunate. x
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to him & you! I was just in a 3 car one a few weeks ago. It's definitely scary, but the pain heals fast!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, just catching up with your posts!
ReplyDeleteHe most defintely had someone watching over him. So so glad to hear he is on the mend, let him prod, its amazing how much love goes through metal crutches!

That photo of that car is scary! Hope you can give us an update on him soon.
ReplyDeleteOh I am sorry to hear about your son, something similar happened to me last year, my sister had a crash at 60mph all we were told was she was in an ambulance and that she had hit 4 trees. I then had to drive past the accident to get to her in a&e but they had closed the road due to a "fatal accident" they said, I was terrified, her car ended up with no front what so ever, it had been ripped off and all you could see was the seats, she ended up being fine bad airbag burns seat belt burns etc. The paramedics said they had never seen anyone survive an accident like this, my sister was guarded by an angel as it sounds was your son.
ReplyDeleteOn another note you have a gorgeous blog, I am a massive CK fan so nice to meet you

You poor thing, how terrifying! My son is driving around in his friends car alot lately and each time I can't help but worry about him. At that age, they are the highest risk factor for accidents so it is particularly scary. Im so glad to hear that your son is ok. I just hope you will be too! (who would be a mum??!!) Thinking of you....
ReplyDeleteVery scary! So glad he is ok. Rachaelxo
ReplyDeleteHi Sairer - So glad that George is Ok - it must have been a horrendous thing to go through, and all that waiting before you could see him - wish him a speedy recovery from me - Natalie x

Just found your blog. Hi, i'm LissyLou. So glad your son is ok x
ReplyDeleteOh it's so scary letting them drive off on their own isn't it? So pleased that he escaped relatively unharmed.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you must have all been so, so worried. What a terrible thing to happen to George, I hope he is recovering well. x
