They remind me of Barbola mirrors but they are made of resin. The detail is really good and they have a velvety back and stand.
I wasn't sure if I liked them at first, they're not something old and genuine with a history.
I didn't know whether to paint them or not, so I thought for £2 its worth a go painting one of them just to see...
so here's one I painted!
hmmmmmm, I'm still not sure...
you just can't beat the real thing!
What do you reckon?
Absolutely beautiful, looks like it was meant for painting!
ReplyDeleteI love it painted! Can't believe you got it for £2!
ReplyDeleteLovely.
Oh thanks you guys! I still can't decide between painted or unpainted but then I'm terrible at making my mind up about anything!

ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job at painting that, really professional, and it looks very pretty.

I have got a real barbola mirror (which I love) but don't you have to be careful nowadays as there are some very good reproductions around. Saying this I think for the very small outlay, your resin ones are fabulous, and I think it looks lovely painted, although in a certain setting, just leaving them white would work. I wonder whether we have an Instore near us, I would like a mooch around in there. x
ReplyDeleteGood for people to know.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Compliments! Greetings from italy.
